THE EYELID SURGERY PROCEDURE

Local anesthetic and intravenous sedation is applied to prepare for the surgical procedure. Depending on the need of the patient, incisions would be made to remove excess fat or skin. Muscles can also be tightened or fat removed without an incision while your doctor may choose to redistribute skin or fat to improve the look of your eyelid. When an incision is required, it is done at the natural crease of the eye as to leave no marks. The incision is also camouflaged when it is healed so it won’t be visible.
