PINNAPLASTY / OTOPLASTY (DAY CASE) – TWO EARS

Pinnaplasty, also known as otoplasty or ear pinning surgery, is a cosmetic procedure designed to reshape, reposition, or reduce the prominence of the ears to improve facial balance and symmetry. The procedure is commonly performed on both ears to create a more natural and proportionate appearance while maintaining harmony with the rest of the face. As a day case procedure, patients are usually able to return home the same day following surgery and recovery monitoring. At London Harley Street Clinics, our surgeons use advanced ear reshaping techniques to achieve refined, natural-looking results tailored to each patient’s anatomy.

WHO IS PINNAPLASTY / OTOPLASTY FOR?

Pinnaplasty may be suitable for individuals who: Have prominent or protruding ears, Feel self-conscious about ear shape or position, Want improved facial symmetry and balance, Have misshapen or asymmetrical ears, Want correction of ear prominence affecting confidence, Are seeking permanent ear reshaping results, Prefer same-day discharge after surgery

Treatment Process

Pinnaplasty / otoplasty is typically performed under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia and usually takes 1–2 hours. It includes:

Your ear shape, cartilage structure, facial proportions, and treatment goals are carefully assessed to create a personalised surgical plan.

Local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia ensures comfort throughout the procedure.

Incisions are usually placed behind the ears. The cartilage is reshaped, folded, or repositioned to achieve a more balanced and less prominent appearance.

Incisions are closed carefully, and a protective dressing or headband is applied to support healing and maintain ear position.
